Outside of our winter practice (see item 5 above), the club is offering additional winter options, Winter Futsal League and the Champions Premier League (CPL).  Please take a look at the descirpitons of both options and if you have any questions let me know.  Please note that the CPL is for TSC players only and will be coached by TSC coaches.  For our U9 group, we will not be entering any teams into the winterfutsal league with TSC coaches, but you are more than welcome to organize a team and enter.

Winter Futsal League

This league makes its return to Tennessee SC and we are excited to announce that we will host this 8-week league on Wednesday nights starting in January.  We will use the Franklin Fieldhouse to play games and we expect for each team to play at least 8 games over the course of the season.  The futsal format will allow for 5v5 and each team can roster up to 12 players per team.  The futsal teams can be organized by your coaching staff or a parent can sign up a group of players to participate.

Futsal is a great game that is becoming very popular in the U.S.  Futsal is played on a basketball court while using a heavier no-bounce ball to keep the ball on the court more consistently.  This game encourages players to be creative with the ball, forces players to make quicker decisions and it offers a lot of scoring opportunities for the players.  Each player will play games during the week and will receive a Futsal t-shirt with their registration fee.

Registration will open next week and these will need to be TEAM ENTRIES ONLY in to this league.  We will not accept individual sign ups.  We most recently offered this league in 2013 and we hosted 43 teams so our hope is to bring in that same amount of teams or more again this year.  We will accept teams from Tennessee SC and from outside clubs / organizations so this is a good chance to play other groups as well as our own.  Start talking to your coach or other parents now and get your team organized to have fun mid-week this winter.

Lee Company Champions Premier League (CPL)

This is the club’s indoor offering for our U7-U14 players and will be played over 5 weekends this winter.  We will start in January and plan to utilize both indoor arenas in Franklin and Brentwood.  The CPL combines the North and South players on to evenly balanced teams and gives them an indoor format to play 7v7 (U9-U14).  The U7-U8 age groups will play 4v4.  Tennessee SC coaches will coach the teams so instruction is still offered while the players are getting to participate in competitive games.  Last year, we had 50% participation from these age groups and it’s our hope that the number of kids will grow in 2015.  Each player will play games and be given a t-shirt included with their registration fee.  This is a fun environment for the kids to play games against their friends / teammates and make new friends when combining with the other Academy groups.

Registration is currently OPEN and we are offering an Early Bird Discount until October 31, 2014.  Please sign up today and take advantage of this limited offer.  You can access the registration page by clicking below.  The registration deadline for this program is December 5, 2014.

Congrats to all the players for their effort and hard work over the tournament weekend.  This was a new experience for most of the players; first out of town tournament, really early morning games, all kinds of weather, and crazy rule differences (NO OFFSIDES).
You can find Game Scores in the Games section of this site.
I will have photos posted shortly.  Please email me if you have some of your own.
