The 2016 Boys Premier picked up steam throughout the fall season and completed a tough State League run with a State Cup appearance. This moves them from being ranked below #10 in the State to #5!!!! While the goals of the staff and boys was loftier, we all understand the extra challenge that was presented to Coach Rico. This group of boys had only 7 returning players from their 2011-12 team. The other 12 were new and from varied backgrounds. Bringing all of this together was new coach Rico Laise and between finding where each boy fit best and which system of play best fit the collective, it was quite a process . . . and continues to be. Bottom line is the boys may have lost both State Cup matches on the score card, but they were winners in every other sense. They NEVER gave up, nor did they back down from the challenge individually or as a team. They were VERY competitive in both State Cup matches. In fact, they created enough chances in both to win them outright. We could not be prouder of this group of young men and Coach Rico. Great job boys! Great job Rico!
