Anna Haddock Selected for United States U-23 Women’s Youth National Team

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club USL W League midfielder Anna Haddock will represent her country after being added to the United States Under-23 Women’s Youth National Team roster. 


“I am extremely excited for this opportunity to compete with and against the country’s best,” Haddock said as she prepared to travel to the West Coast. “I feel very thankful for my family, coaches, teammates, and friends who have supported me throughout my career. It is a reminder to all how important hard work and dedication are when it comes to achieving your goals. Time to get to work!”


Haddock will join the USWYNT to play in the Thorns Preseason Tournament from March 5-11, playing three matches versus NWSL teams at Providence Park in Portland, OR. The USA opens against the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. CT followed by the Portland Thorns taking on the OL Reign at 7 p.m. The tournament continues on Tuesday, March 8 with the Red Stars facing the OL Reign at 7 p.m., and the USA will play the Thorns at 9:30 p.m. The friendly competition will finish on Friday, March 11 as the USA faces the OL Reign at 7 p.m. and the Thorns take on the Red Stars at 9:30 p.m. The U.S. roster will consist of 22 collegiate players and the squad will be coached by newly appointed USWNT assistant coach Twila Kilgore.


A native of Bowling Green, KY, Haddock played her youth soccer career with TSC and has signed on to play for TSC’s USL W League team. At TSC, she earned ECNL All-America honors and was named ECNL U17 Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. For her high school, she was back-to-back Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year as well as Miss Kentucky. 


A First Team All-SEC player at Auburn University, Haddock was twice named SEC Player of the Week and three-time Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week after beginning her sophomore season with nine goals in her first 10 games. Haddock’s successes are not limited to the field as she went on to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors as well.


“This is the result of countless hours of training, personal sacrifice, and commitment,” said USL W Assistant Coach and Haddock’s youth coach Ronnie Woodard. “Anna is the shining example of hard work, dedication, and believing in herself.”

This experience will not only take her game to the next level but will also benefit her teammates when she returns. I can't wait to see Anna on the pitch for us this season. In its inaugural season, the TSC USL W League team will kick off its 2022 season on May 18th at 7:30 pm against South Georgia Tormenta FC.

Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Williamson County and the surrounding Greater Nashville area. Since 2012, TSC has been the premier youth soccer club in the state of Tennessee and currently serves over 3,500 players participating in recreational, competitive and/or supplemental soccer programs across four locations: TSC Murfreesboro, TSC Nashville, TSC Sumner and TSC Williamson. TSC teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally in leagues such as the Tennessee Youth Soccer League, USYS National League and Mid South Conference, and the Elite Clubs National League. TSC also fields two U23 pre-professional teams competing in USL W League (women’s) and USL League Two (men’s). TSC has won multiple state and national championships in recent years through competition in these leagues.
