Record-Breaking Music City Invitational Crowns 44 Champions in Murfreesboro

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club's Music City Invitational soared to new heights this weekend, welcoming a record 282 teams for three days of elite youth soccer competition. The tournament featured 455 total games, officiated by hundreds of referees, and culminated in 44 brackets producing champions and finalists.


“We are proud to say that this was our largest MCI to date,” said TSC Tournament Director Jimmy Drain. “Growing from previous years to 282 teams – including clubs traveling 7+ hours – speaks volumes about the event's reputation for competitive brackets, professional organization, and Middle Tennessee hospitality.”


The annual event utilized Richard Siegel Soccer Park in Murfreesboro, TN, one of the top soccer facilities in the southeast region. The event also used Middle Tennessee State University, and Bethesda Sports Park in Thompson Station. 


Teams from 63 clubs across 11 different states (FL, NC, TN, KY, AL, GA, OH, IN, IL, MO, AR) made up the tournament field. 


The TSC Tournament Series will continue this winter with the Second Annual TSC College Showcase for U15-U19 Boys and Girls, January 23-25, 2026 in Murfreesboro. College coaches from across the country are expected to attend this premier recruiting opportunity. In addition, TSC will host the Winter Indoor Series in December, January, and February in Franklin and Brentwood.

Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Williamson County and the surrounding Greater Nashville area. TSC also fields two U23 pre-professional teams competing in USL W League (women’s) and USL League Two (men’s). TSC has won multiple state and national championships in recent years through competition in these leagues. 

Ronnie Woodard Named US U-16 Girls' National Team Head Coach for England Friendlies

ATLANTA (Oct. 22, 2025) – The U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team will travel to England from Oct. 22-31 for a training camp and games at St. George’s Park, England’s National Training Center, located about 120 miles north of London. The USA will face its counterparts from England on Oct. 28 and Oct. 31, giving this age group valuable international competition. All players in this camp were born in 2010 and represent the core of the team that will compete to qualify for the 2027 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. As this will be Katie Schoepfer’s cycle, and she is currently in Morocco coaching at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Ronnie Woodward will be the head coach for this camp and matches. This year marks the beginning of FIFA’s annual staging of FIFA U-17 WWC — as opposed to biannually as it was in the past — and the tournament will be held in Morocco for the next five years. The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship. Successful TSC Battleground Tournament of Champions Brings Over 14,000 Visitors, Boosts Greater Nashville Economy

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) hosted its annual Battleground Tournament of Champions this past weekend, welcoming more than 4,300 players and 14,000 visitors to the Greater Nashville area and providing a significant boost to the local economy. “The weather and fields were fantastic as we hosted this year’s Battleground Tournament,” said Jimmy Drain, TSC Tournament Director & Events Coordinator. “You could feel the enjoyment from the players in their smiles, as well as from spectators, coaches, and referees. The level of play was very high and led to a successful event. We’re already looking forward to October for the Music City Invitational.” The event featured 322 teams from eight states and 37 soccer organizations, contributing to hotel, restaurant, and retail business throughout the region. In all, 519 games were completed across 44 fields. Matches were hosted at facilities across Williamson County, including the Williamson County Soccer Complex, Franklin Recreation Center, Crockett Park in Brentwood, and Bethesda Sports Park in Thompson’s Station. Teams brought a variety of playing styles and strong competition, creating an outstanding atmosphere for players and fans alike. The Battleground Tournament of Champions is part of the TSC Tournament Series, which will continue next month with the Music City Invitational in Murfreesboro, TN, October 24–26. TSC Crowns Four Champions and Three Finalists in 2025 Spring Tennessee State Cup

MURFREESBORO, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club crowned four 2025 Tennessee Spring State Cup Champions this past weekend in Murfreesboro, TN at the Richard Siegel Soccer Complex. In addition, three other TSC teams finished as finalists in the competition. “We are very proud of all our TSC teams that qualified for State Cup this spring,” Director of Soccer Stephen Jordan said. “Seeing the joy on the faces of the players as they compete and the success they have on the field shows the quality of players and coaches we have at TSC.” In total, TSC teams won six Tennessee State Cup Championships this year as well as six finalist appearances, including both the fall and spring state cup tournaments. In all 52 TSC teams competed in the two tournaments. On Saturday, the TSC Williamson 2009 Girls Showcase started off the celebrations with a 2-0 victory over Chattanooga FC. Sunday brought three more trophy ceremonies led by TSC Murfreesboro 2012 Girls Showcase capping off an incredible year, undefeated in the Mid South Regional League and Tennessee State League. Later in the day, TSC Williamson 2006/07 Girls Showcase and TSC 2011 ECNL RL Girls also tasted victory, both in dramatic penalty shootouts to become state cup champions. In addition to the four champions, three other TSC teams reached the finals. The TSC Sumner 2008 Girls Showcase, TSC Williamson 2012 Girls Showcase, and TSC Williamson 2014 Girls Academy Premier Blue all battled in hard fought games and earned finalist medals. “We are very proud of our players, coaches, and parents for constantly showing why TSC is a wonderful place for a youth soccer experience for all,” said Executive Director Stuart Brown. “It has been a great 2024-25 for our TSC teams and it is not over as teams advance to Regionals and Nationals.
