Sep 19, 2022

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club hosted its annual Battleground Tournament of Champions this weekend bringing in more than 4,000 players and over 13,000 visitors to the Greater Nashville area.

The annual September event utilized venues across Williamson and Davidson County. Williamson County Soccer Complex and Franklin Recreation Center in Franklin, TN, Crockett Park in Brentwood, TN, and Harpeth Soccer Complex in Nashville, TN played host to the event.

“It was great to see so many players and families out at our facilities as a part of our Battleground tournament this weekend,” said TSC Tournament Director & Events Coordinator Jimmy Drain. “To see teams coming in from Lexington, Cincinnati, St. Louis, Atlanta, and many other areas across the US was fantastic. The soccer was top-notched, and everyone enjoyed great weather while competing for medals. We are very excited for next year's event and our Music City tournament coming up in October.”

In total, 297 teams from seven different states and 58 soccer organizations represented the tournament field. Over 170 teams traveled from out of town and contributed to the local economies and visited the area.

TSC will host its next outdoor tournament, the Music City Invitational in Murfreesboro, TN the weekend of October 28-30. The event will be hosted at the Richard Siegel Soccer Park, one of the finest soccer complexes in the region.
