NASHVILLE, TN – Eight Tennessee Soccer Club players were selected to participate in the U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Identification Center (IDC) Tuesday at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.

The IDCs are for 2008 and 2009 girls from across the region. The eight TSC players were tied with Alabama FC for the most players invited.  Here is the list of players representing TSC:

“We are very proud of all the girls and all the hard work they have put in,” ECNL Director Greg Warden said. “This is a great opportunity for them to get a taste of the U.S. National Team experience.”

U.S. Soccer YNT Identification Centers are single-day player identification opportunities for top talents to train and play games under the direction of U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Managers.  IDC’s are a critical element to our Talent Identification Plan and are designed to identify and evaluate top talents for Youth National Teams, while accelerating their development in a challenging environment.  IDC’s are scheduled throughout the year in key markets across the country.

U.S. Soccer YNT Identification Centers are designed to replicate Youth National Team camps.

TSC will not only be represented by players, TSC Director of Membership Services Ronnie Woodard will also be attending and coaching as a Youth National Team Network Scout for U.S. Soccer. Woodard works regularly on behalf of U.S. Soccer to identify talent across the country.
