Tennessee Soccer Club Establishes New Location, “TSC Upper Cumberland,” Through Relationship with Upper Cumberland United Soccer Club

Jul 20, 2023

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club and Upper Cumberland United Soccer Club are excited to announce the creation of TSC Upper Cumberland, with programming set to begin this upcoming Fall 2023.

TSC Upper Cumberland will continue offering both recreational and competitive soccer programming in Cookeville, just as Upper Cumberland United has since 1995. The rec league will operate as UC United TSC Rec, and competitive teams will play as TSC Upper Cumberland. Leadership from TSC and Upper Cumberland United believe that coming together as TSC Upper Cumberland will bring long-lasting positive impact to the soccer community in this part of Tennessee. TSC will apply resources to the operations of TSC Upper Cumberland to ensure there continues to be high quality and professional programming for competitive and recreational players for years to come.

“I’m incredibly excited for this new opportunity in the Upper Cumberland region of our state,” said TSC Executive Director Stuart Brown. “One of our core values is “Build the Community,” and this is directly in line with the approach that Upper Cumberland United SC has taken for over two decades. We’re looking forward to building upon the wonderful programming they have in place and helping that soccer community grow for years to come.”

Tennessee Soccer Club was established in 2012 after the merger of TN Football Club and Brentwood Soccer Club. The club has expanded to four locations over the last five years, now operating in Murfreesboro, Nashville, Sumner County and Williamson County. The Upper Cumberland region will be TSC’s fifth location.

Upper Cumberland United Soccer Club was established in 1995 and has an excellent history of serving Cookeville and its surrounding communities in that span.

The leadership of both organizations place very high value on community and using the game of soccer to build lasting relationships.

“Since our establishment in 1995 our goal has been to help our youth build like skills through the game and to use soccer as a tool to promote and build relationships within our community,” said Upper Cumberland United Board President Jason Gentry. “This partnership will only enhance our ability to do this as TSC and UC United are fully aligned in our ultimate goal of creating within our athletes a sense of service to self, to their team, to the club, and ultimately to their community.”
