TSC Teams Successful in Presidents Cup and ECNL Regional League

GREENVILLE, SC – The Tennessee Soccer Club 2009 Williamson Girls Showcase team raise the trophy as United States Youth Soccer Presidents Cup Southern Regional Champions on Sunday defeating 2009 Elite Girls Blue from Mississippi 3-2 in the championship match played at the MESA Soccer Complex in Greenville, SC.

“We came here [to regionals] and we were a little bit nervous,” said TSC 2009 Williamson Showcase player Crosby Edwards. “We came and we just showed up. I love seeing all of my teammates. We don’t want it to end. We are just so happy that we can keep playing together.”

The team has had a taste of success and dramatic finishes this summer thus far. Trailing 0-1 in the final seconds of stoppage time in the Tennessee State Cup Semifinals to Chattanooga FC, TSC pulled off an amazing turnaround scoring the equalizer on a corner kick as the final whistle blew and then netting the game-winner in overtime. The girls took that momentum and turned it into a State Cup Championship victory a week later, punching their ticket to regionals.

“There are so many life lessons in this,” said Head Coach Jenger Parrish. “There were a couple of games where we went down a goal and we had to fight back. There were other games where we were up and had to learn to hold on to that. This experience has helped them grow as young ladies and I think they are just going to keep growing into the most amazing young adults.”

With the win at regionals, TSC advances to the USYS Presidents Cup National Championships in Wichita, KS July 7-11.

TSC had four other teams competing at USYS Southern Presidents Cup as well. The 2004/05 Sumner Girls Showcase team also saw success advancing to the regional semifinals. The 2006 Nashville Boys Showcase, 2007 Williamson Boys Showcase, and 2008 Williamson Boys Showcase all competed as well.

Meanwhile, 675 miles to the northwest, the ECNL (Elite Clubs National League) Girls Regional League Central Regionals were also taking place at the SLYSA Complex in St. Charles, MO.

With all six Girls ECNL RL teams advancing to the regional championships, it was the TSC 2008 Nike Girls that made it all the way to the regional final before falling to the Kansas City Athletics 2-1. The 2004/05 ECNL RL team and 2010 Nike Girls team both were semifinalists, while the 2006 Nike Girls, 2007 Nike Girls and 2009 Nike Girls all were quarterfinalists.

“To have all 6 of our ECNL RL teams qualify for [the playoffs] speaks to the quality of play by our players and the hard work put in all year,” said U15-U19 Girls Director Kristen Vlahos. “Our 08s were just minutes away from advancing to Nationals. I couldn't be prouder of their performance over the three days. Each team represented the club in the best way possible. This experience will only motivate our teams more as we look forward to returning next year.”

On the boys side, the 2006, 2007, and 2008 Nike Boys teams traveled to Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Brown Summit, NC for the ECNL RL Southeast Regional Playoffs. The 2008 Nike Boys advanced all the way to the championship match before falling to NC Fusion. The 2006 Nike Boys were semifinalists, and 2007 Nike Boys team finished as quarterfinalists.

“Great experience and very competitive games for all three of our ECNL/RL boys teams,” said U15-U19 Boys Director Sandy Pollock. “I’m very pleased with how they all performed.”

“A great environment and opportunity for our players to compete at the regionals level,” said ECNL Assistant Director Dean Blain. “A great showing by all players.  TSC is very proud of our achievements this year in ECNL RL.”

The TSC Boys and Girls Academy also competed in the Premier SuperCopa event in Bradenton, FL at the Premier Sports Campus. The TSC 2012 Boys Academy were SuperCopa champions, defeating the Dallas Texans 2-1 in the championship. The 2013 Boys Academy and 2013 Girls Academy were finalists, while the 2012 Girls Academy and 2014 Boys Academy were quarterfinalists.

The end of June will stay busy for TSC with the 2005 Murfreesboro Girls Showcase, 2005 Murfreesboro Boys Showcase, and 2010 ECNL Girls competing at the USYS Southern Regional Championships June 23-29 at the Burbank Soccer Complex in Baton Rouge, LA.

In addition, seven TSC teams will be competing in the ECNL Playoffs. The 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 ECNL Girls kick off June 24-30 at the Surf Cup Sports Park in San Diego, CA, while the 2006, 2007, and 2008 ECNL Boys compete at Bryan Park Soccer Complex June 25-July 1.

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club's Music City Invitational soared to new heights this weekend, welcoming a record 282 teams for three days of elite youth soccer competition. The tournament featured 455 total games, officiated by hundreds of referees, and culminated in 44 brackets producing champions and finalists. “We are proud to say that this was our largest MCI to date,” said TSC Tournament Director Jimmy Drain. “Growing from previous years to 282 teams – including clubs traveling 7+ hours – speaks volumes about the event's reputation for competitive brackets, professional organization, and Middle Tennessee hospitality.” The annual event utilized Richard Siegel Soccer Park in Murfreesboro, TN, one of the top soccer facilities in the southeast region. The event also used Middle Tennessee State University, and Bethesda Sports Park in Thompson Station. Teams from 63 clubs across 11 different states (FL, NC, TN, KY, AL, GA, OH, IN, IL, MO, AR) made up the tournament field. The TSC Tournament Series will continue this winter with the Second Annual TSC College Showcase for U15-U19 Boys and Girls, January 23-25, 2026 in Murfreesboro. College coaches from across the country are expected to attend this premier recruiting opportunity. In addition, TSC will host the Winter Indoor Series in December, January, and February in Franklin and Brentwood. ATLANTA (Oct. 22, 2025) – The U.S. Under-16 Girls’ National Team will travel to England from Oct. 22-31 for a training camp and games at St. George’s Park, England’s National Training Center, located about 120 miles north of London. The USA will face its counterparts from England on Oct. 28 and Oct. 31, giving this age group valuable international competition. All players in this camp were born in 2010 and represent the core of the team that will compete to qualify for the 2027 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. As this will be Katie Schoepfer’s cycle, and she is currently in Morocco coaching at the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, Ronnie Woodward will be the head coach for this camp and matches. This year marks the beginning of FIFA’s annual staging of FIFA U-17 WWC — as opposed to biannually as it was in the past — and the tournament will be held in Morocco for the next five years. The camp is part of the Federation’s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
