The Battleground Tournament of Champions brings visitors to local community

FRANKLIN, TN - This past weekend, Tennessee Soccer Club hosted The Battleground of Champions in Williamson County bringing over 3,400 players and more than 12,000 visitors to the Greater Nashville area.  The annual September tournament utilized Crockett Park in Brentwood and the Williamson County Soccer Complex in Franklin to host over 370 games.


“It is always fun watching this teams come to Nashville and enjoy our soccer facilities. We saw teams travel from St. Louis, Cincinnati, Atlanta, and many other areas around the US,” TSC Tournament Director and Events Coordinator Jimmy Drain commented.  “The soccer was competitive and the kids had fun while trying to earn our coveted medals. We are already excited for next year’s event.”


In total, 227 teams from nine different states and 48 soccer organizations represented the tournament field.  Over 100 teams traveled from out of town and shared their compliments in visiting the local community.  All enjoyed the beautiful weekend of weather and competition.


TSC will host its next outdoor tournament, the Music City Invitational in Bellevue, TN the weekend of October 29-31.

Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Williamson County and the surrounding Greater Nashville area. TSC's Mission is "to promote a love for soccer by developing excellence in the game for our players and coaches to positively impact our member families and communities.”


Since 2012, TSC has been the premier youth soccer club in the state of Tennessee and currently serves over 3,500 players participating in recreational, competitive and/or supplemental soccer programs across four locations: TSC Murfreesboro, TSC Nashville, TSC Sumner and TSC Williamson. TSC teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally in leagues such as the Tennessee Youth Soccer League, USYS National League and Mid South Conference, and the Elite Clubs National League. TSC also fields two U23 pre-professional teams competing in USL W League (women’s) and USL League Two (men’s). TSC has won multiple state and national championships in recent years through competition in these leagues.
