TSC Hosts Annual Fall Battleground Tournament of Champions
FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club hosted its annual fall Battleground Tournament of Champions this weekend bringing in thousands of visitors to the Greater Nashville area. In all, more than 4,300 players and 14,000 people took part in the event.
“This weekend’s Battleground tournament turned out to be a tremendous success,” said TSC Tournament Director & Events Coordinator Jimmy Drain. “With the weather looming, we made the decision to push ahead and give the teams and players a great soccer experience. We are excited for next year’s event and our Music City Invitational tournament coming up in October.”
In total, 320 teams from seven different states and 54 soccer organizations represented the tournament field. Over 109 teams traveled from out of state and contributed to the local economies and visited the area.
The annual September event utilized venues across Williamson and Davidson County. Williamson County Soccer Complex in Franklin, TN, Crockett Park in Brentwood, TN, and Harpeth Soccer Complex in Nashville, TN played host to the event. In addition, on Friday night, TSC hosted the very first event at the new turf Bethesda Sports Park in Thompson Station.
TSC will host its next outdoor tournament, the Music City Invitational in Murfreesboro, TN the weekend of October 25-27. The event will be hosted at the Richard Siegel Soccer Park, one of the finest soccer complexes in the region.

Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based in Williamson County and the surrounding Greater Nashville area. TSC's Mission is "to promote a love for soccer by developing excellence in the game for our players and coaches to positively impact our member families and communities.”
Since 2012, TSC has been the premier youth soccer club in the state of Tennessee and currently serves over 3,500 players participating in recreational, competitive and/or supplemental soccer programs across four locations: TSC Murfreesboro, TSC Nashville, TSC Sumner and TSC Williamson. TSC teams compete locally, regionally, and nationally in leagues such as the Tennessee Youth Soccer League, USYS National League and Mid South Conference, and the Elite Clubs National League. TSC also fields two U23 pre-professional teams competing in USL W League (women’s) and USL League Two (men’s). TSC has won multiple state and national championships in recent years through competition in these leagues.
